This video shows you the difference between the older version of GameMaker Studio 2 and its newest huge 2.3 Update that changes a lot for you. So what you may see from the start, Gms 2.3 is a new format, which means your old project needs to be "imported" into the the standard. This means older projects will become obsolte at some point in its current form. The biggest changes are that the resource tree has been changed to the asset browser, which is now a free folder structure where you put in you assets, which were before put into strict categories. Besides that, the new asset types are: animation curves and sequences. Sequences is the new inbuild animation tool, which is a very welcome addition. There are a few other additions you can find in the offical release document.
